# Build LinkedIn agents

You've heard of AI agents. Now you can build your own for LinkedIn.

CodeWords makes building a working LinkedIn agent as easy as describing it. You do not need to be a developer. Describe the agent — posts, public profiles, DMs, comments, leads — and Cody builds it and keeps it running: on a schedule, a trigger, or on its own.

This page is https://www.codewords.ai/linkedin. It is not linked from the main menu. LinkedIn is a capability of the same product, not a separate one.

## What CodeWords can build on LinkedIn

These eight are agents Cody can build today.

1. LinkedIn post generator + scheduler — topic or bullets in, LinkedIn-ready post out, published or scheduled after approval.
2. LinkedIn profile scraper & enricher — public LinkedIn URL or list in, name, headline, current role, and job history out. Public profiles only.
3. LinkedIn DM agent — draft and send replies on your own account, with approval before anything goes out.
4. LinkedIn auto-commenter — watch target posts or topics, draft a personalised comment, post after approval. Not an engagement pod.
5. LinkedIn lead generation agent — find people matching a persona, enrich public profiles, write a contact list.
6. LinkedIn connection-request agent — personalised requests to a list you provide, rate-limited, on your account.
7. LinkedIn carousel generator — topic in, slide-by-slide carousel copy out.
8. LinkedIn profile optimizer — score your current profile and rewrite headline, summary, and experience bullets.

Once Cody has built the agent, it keeps running. That is the automation — not a session you have to sit in (the contrast with Claude Code).

## What is not supported

These are not supported:

- LinkedIn Sales Navigator scrapers (gated, no public API)
- Buying LinkedIn followers or likes (against LinkedIn rules)
- Bulk LinkedIn email scrapers (against LinkedIn rules)
- LinkedIn phone number scrapers (not in the API)
- Engagement pods / pod clones
- LinkedIn ad creation or ad targeting

Connection requests and DMs run on the account owner's LinkedIn, with rate limits and an approval step. They are not cold blasts to strangers.

## How a LinkedIn agent gets built

1. Describe the agent in chat, or pick a suggestion.
2. Cody builds the agent and shows you the steps. You approve before it publishes, messages, or comments.
3. The agent stays deployed — on a schedule, a trigger, or on its own. Change it later by describing the change.
