Introducing versioning

Return to previous versions of anything you’ve built and deployed through CodeWords.
You can revert changes through the following options:
- Ask Cody in the chat to return to the previous version of your choice.
- Select the three dots from the navar in the chat to see previous versions and rollback.
- Head to Projects > Select a workflow or app > Activity page and see a timeline of versions or select a version to revert.
Versions are created every time you deploy or update a service. Only one version is active at any one time, and the latest version will always be the active one, unless you’ve returned to a previous version.
What’s new:
- Revert versions from chat: Select the three dots in the navbar to view previous versions of your chat.
- Full version history: All previous versions are kept, and a summary of changes made is applied to each version, so you can always return to previous versions.
- Rollback anytime: If something breaks after a new deployment, you can instantly revert to any previous working version.
View all versions, summaries, and timelines for a specific workflow or app in the activity pages on each project.
Activity overviews

Now when you click on your workflow or app in the Projects page, you’ll be taken to its activity overview. The activity page means you have more high-level control over everything you build.
What's included:
- Quick overviews: Head straight to the latest chat to continue building or editing your project, see which version is being used, and find total or average costs for that project.
- Control schedules and triggers: Quickly create schedules or triggers for your project, and see a quick overview of existing ones.
- Versioning: Find an overview of all project versions. Return to previous versions, see a summary of version changes, and understand when changes were made.
- Run pages: You’ll still find the run page for your workflow in the
Runtab at the top of the activity page. Click through to manually run your workflow.
Projects and folders

Every time you deploy a workflow or app, the finished version will appear in the Projects page. From there, you can revisit your workflows, organize your work into folders, and get a quick overview of any workflow.
What you get:
- Create folders: We’ve made it easy to organize your workflows and apps. Select Create folder to group your projects and organize client systems.
- Organize existing projects: Click the three dots on a project to access a range of actions. Go to that project’s chat, rename, duplicate, delete, or add it to a folder.
Updates to inputting integrations and secrets

We’ve changed how you input secrets and connect to your other tools.
What’s new:
- Secure input box: When you’re prompted to input an API key or secret, you’ll be able to do so through a secure input box.
- Connection panel: When a connection to another one of your tools requires authorization, you’ll be prompted to connect from within the chat interface. You no longer need to leave your chat, just click to Connect and the authorization window will open automatically.
Security is always at the forefront of how we’re building. Read more about our security practices here.
Refreshed sidebar
The sidebar has been tidied and updated.
Now you’ll find:
- Icons and tooltips: When you collapse the sidebar, you’ll find a neater appearance with icons and tooltips.
- Pin chats: Quickly pin your favorite chats to the top of the Recent chats section.
- Rename from the sidebar: Easily name your chats from the sidebar so you can always keep your conversations with Cody organized.
- Chat to support: We’ve moved our support chat to the sidebar. Quickly access support from the CodeWords team, or arrange to book a call for in-depth support.
Updated Templates page

You’ll now find all available automations and apps on our new Templates page.
Use them as they are, as inspiration, or as a starting point for your next build.
What's new:
- Search bar: we’ve added a search option so you can easily find a relevant template.
- Collapsed categories: easily sort the Templates page by category type, naming convention, or most recently added.
- Smart previews: when you click on a template you’ll now see a smart preview tab for a cleaner overview about what the template does. You’ll still be able to run, edit, and share templates once you’ve clicked through to use it.
Introducing CodeWords UI

You can now build a full interface around any workflow, directly from chat.
Here's what's new:
Frontend generation: describe the UI you want and CodeWords builds it, without you needing to navigate a canvas or code.
Custom domains: publish your agent or dashboard to your own domain in one step.
Create portals, logins, and subscriptions: add user authentication, gated access, and subscription layers on top of any workflow — the building blocks to turn what you've built into a real product.
Turn services into software: deliver end-to-end solutions for clients, and monetize your workflows.
